You will be expected to:

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm in working up cases and proactively helping our patients live their best lives, by providing best practice medicine and surgery in a small animal general practice setting 

  • Build a strong rapport and professional connections with clients and staff alike, keeping your patients' best outcomes forefront of decisions 

  • Demonstrate a willingness to continually advance your clinical and surgical knowledge and skills 

  • Follow our proven clinical processes and signature systems to ensure our clients reach their optimal goals for their pets’ health and wellbeing. 

  • Soak up everything you can from all your team colleagues, whether they be clinicians, admin support or cleaners.  Take on constructive feedback with grace, but also bring your knowledge and skills to us so we can learn from you!

This role reports directly to the Practice Owner, while also working closely with other members of the team.

  • You are flexible to work within the practice’s operational hours 8.30-7pm Mon-Fri and Saturday mornings

  • You must be registered with the Veterinary Surgeon’s Board of WA

  • More than 2 years’ in clinical small animal practice and an interest in surgery and/or dentistry is preferred, but not essential

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to manage routine consultations for preventative health care as well as medical cases/investigations 

  • Ability to manage emergency cases when needed 

  • Ability to perform inhouse laboratory tests to work up consults 

  • Competence in routine soft tissue surgery and dentistry 

  • Competence with Orthopaedic surgery would be highly advantageous but is not essential 

  • Computer skills (MS Office) 

  • Highly organized 

  • Ability to work in a team environment 

  • Ability to multitask 

  • Be solutions oriented
